STEVEN DUNN, J.D.

Steven Dunn lives in Dallas, Texas, became a licensed attorney in 1984 and has appeared as lead counsel in Texas state courts and federal courts throughout the United States.

In 2009, his daughter Morgan developed severe eating disorders which she bravely fought for 7 years. Finally, at 23 years old, it claimed her life on October 30, 2016. Morgan was known for the fight within her and how she inspired others.  This is epitomized in one of the journals she left behind when she wrote, “I can help everyone else, I just can’t seem to save myself.”

With that, Morgan’s fighting spirit was cemented as part of Steven’s heart and soul. In the last 5 years, he has given 2 TEDx talks on eating disorders and the brain, has made presentations to among others, Apple, Raytheon, The Dallas Catholic Diocese, and before an international conference hosted by the worlds’ largest eating disorder organization. He has now been able to combine his legal experience and eating disorder advocacy and on a national basis, is pursuing treatment centers and others who fail to provide the necessary medical and mental health standard of care which is needed by so many.
