The Board of Directors of The Something For Kelly Foundation met with the Center for Discovery in Chicago this week for a new cooperative venture; creating a strategic core curriculum for outreach to educators and health care providers in America.
The fight against eating disorders has many warriors: parents, physicians, recovery centers, and small organizations to name a few. Still the problem continues. The trouble is not the number of fighters, but the focus of their fight.

Today eating disorders occupy the same ground as alcoholism or breast cancer a few generations back. Awkward silence marks the subject. Without conversation, there is no light shed on the illness allowing stereotypes and myths to abound. Something for Kelly has adopted the phrase “Start a Conversation” with the goal of raising awareness about this epidemic that is reaching out to a younger audience each year.
